This is a antique circa 1970s Fred Zimbalist etched silver plated brass box made in India with a Thorens AD30 disc playing movement made in Switzerland.  It has a book shape with a scalloped edged lid. There is divided storage slots for boxed sets or up to 80+ loose discs. The exterior condition is original and well maintained and has an intricate etched floral design that sparkles. The bottom is covered with blue velvet material. There are just a few spots that show some exposure but overall it is one of the best I have seen. It was not working when I acquired it. It was overwound, the winding key was stripped and the pinion gear was cracked. I have installed a new pinion gear and a used replacement winding key. The movement is now in mint conditon. It come with 6 boxed sets of discs.  1) Waltz Tunes WA-1: Over the Waves, Faust Waltz, Skater's Waltz, Merry widow Waltz, Two Hearts In Waltz Time. 2) Christmas Assortment XM-1: Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Joy to the World, Away in a Manger, Winter Wonderland. 3) Classical Airs CL-3 Schubert' Serenade, Mendelssohn's Spring Song, Marcheta, Student Prince, The Enchanted Flute.  4) Modern Tunes MO-1: Lara's Theme, Moon River, Try to Remember, Edelweiss, More.  5) Romantic Tunes RO-2:  Stardust, Lovely to Look At, Rio Rita, Rose Marie, Mozart's Drawing Room.  6) Special Occasion Songs:  Happy Birthday, Auld Lang Syne, Forever and Ever, Mendelssohn's Wedding March, Pomp and Circumstance. All the discs are in barely used condition. The  playing quality and sound are excellent.     If your speakers are on you should hear a recording of it playing (laptop speakers do not reflect the true sound - use good quality desk top speakers for best results).   Measurements in inches:  Height  = 8.5, Length = 17.5, Width =   7.75.
